Pyramids Of Mars, A Digital Graphic Novel

Pyramids Of Mars is called by its creators a Digital Graphic Novel. It’s an interesting mix, reminding me of those photo stories you used to get in Eagle, but with added CGI and video. The resulting style is very pulpy and a bit difficult to take too seriously, but it’s an interesting experiment. The full story is now online.

James, thanks for the mention of POM. You hit the nail right on the head. It's not meant to be taken too seriously, because things are too serious these days. It's just meant to be some good old retro sci-fi fun. After all, if it wasn't we wouldn't have a character who's a former Sumo wrestler whos autobiographyhas the slightly nihilistic title of 'Blast Them All and Love What's Left Standing.' But you wouldn't know about unless you've found one of the extra pages we've hidden on the web (like http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&friendId=171087059)

I loved the scene where one of the soldiers gets his arm blown off in a firefight and says "That was my favorite arm!" That just killed me.
