Orbit has a record year

Velcro City Tourist Board picks up on something that passed me by on the FPI blog, Orbit had a record year in 2006 "recording their highest sales since their inception in 1974 and taking a huge chunk of the UK SF&F books sales for 2006."

So did their rivals sell less? Or did sales go up overall?

From what I heard Orbit's sales went way up, but no idea if that means a corresponding drop in rival publisher's sales or if it just means perhaps more folks bought more quality SF&F last year (there were far more I wanted to read than I could fit in, still trying to squeeze some I missed in betweeen new books).
