Lots of people watch Doctor Who despite it being sunny

Outpost Gallifrey reports that 8.22 million watched Doomsday, the last episode in this years Doctor Who series.

That's quite a lot considering that most people were watching football, in the pub getting ready to watch football, or out in the sun. (Sunshine in summertime seems to take everyone by surprise in the UK despite it happening every year.)

So what's it mean? Well hopefully many more series of Doctor Who to be made.
