Invasion cancelled by ABC

Invasion is one of the best shows that has been on in a long time. I'm tired of watching all the reality shows and crime dramas, and so are many others. Invasion does have a large following whether you believe it or not.

It was just too slow and cliched for me.

I'm also not for one moment saying that TV networks shouldn't broadcast great SF drama. Just make it great please, not sort-of-okay.

Invasion was such an engrossing show--I loved it and so did my friends. ABC should not cancel this OUTSTANDING show.

I think that ABC made a huge mistake with this show they just didnt market it properly. (period) This show in my opinion had a chance of being the next X-files. If anyone remembers what that did for Fox then id say ABC should kick themselves hard.

Well of course it's true that marketing can make a difference but I don't think that Invasion had even half the spark of "something new" that the X-Files did.

I don't know if they have cancelled Invasion, but I think it is a great show, as I read I'm tired of Reality Show and Crime Shows, this is a good show and should continue!!!!!!

honestly i liked this show more then the x-files.. i'm gonna probably just completely stop watching any shows not on hbo because it seems like every show i watch gets cancelled.. aren't people sick and tired of the reality and crime dramas that are flooding all the slots?

In the UK we only get the best US television, which is nice. Having said that we have an awful lot of UK reality shows. Personally I'm happy with a few good shows a year (Spooks, Hustle, Doctor Who), but all our seasons are much shorter than in the US :-(

INVASION would have made it if not for another slow-moving show: LOST, which was up right before INVASION. The public couldn't take two of them.

ABC - Please renew Invasion or at least give us a movie to wrap things up!

This is just another sign that the U.S. government is silencing the alien talk. I believe it should be spoken out cause if not then they will secretly team up against us. We must deal with the problem before it gets out of hand. Let's all tell another tv station to continue invasion!

I admit when I first started watching the series I wasnt hooked straight away but soon after I was well into it, then my daughter was hooked, my partner it was great.. and it wasn't just about the alien issue, you actually cared about the characters and their lives and how things were affecting them, its a shame it has gone I would have liked to see how things turned out. But that's how it is, if you don't have half the world tuning in weekly forget it.

here in Portugal, Invasion is showed on Fox, and Fox is one of the most loved channels here...its such a shame, im downloading season one and when i saw this i was like " NO PLEASE NO"

Here in the uk invasion went down a storm iam gutted bring it back or is there any signs of taken over by some one else?

I thought Invasion was one of the best shows on. I couldnt wait to see the next show all the actors were great. Then I find out its been canceled!!! ABC take a listen were tired of of shows that show the same stuff over and over, like whos sleeping with who? So many reality shows ugg!!!! Who cares in keeping up with other stale netwoks your missing out on a large audience, I will instead watch a cable channel show. This season I cant believe what your actually putting on. Bring it back. I love Lost,but you are starting to drag on and too many comercials.You will lose your audience that way too.

I can not understand why ABC is so stupid. They have cancelled all of the best shows and left crap on. I think they need new blood to get rid of the "Henry Potters" working there. What a huge mistake. I have quit watching ABC just because I'm worried I might get interested in a show that is great and they cancel it. Fire the people making these horrible choices.

I think one reason that ABC has cancelled good shows like Invasion is that these crappy "reality" shows cost a lot less money to produce. No high-paid talent, no CG, etc. That "reality" crap doesn't take nearly the same amount of infrastructure and planning that a quality show like Invasion does. It's all about the money to these studios, not necessarily what's good. And if the polls are showing that the majority of people in the audience want cheap-shit reality shows vs. quality drama and sci-fi, then the world truly is in trouble. The masses are getting stupider and stupider.

What is the status with the petition to bring back invasion. Now, when I see the quality of shows being aired and even shows from 30 years ago, I'm wondering what's up with cancelling Invasion.

whats wrong with abc don't they know a good show when they see one. just like fox cancel arsenio hall with out warning invasion was a different show fron all others full of suspance and inmagination( maybe it was getting closer to the real truth abot ufo?

Invasion was a great show. I too am sick of all the bad TV. Seldom do you come across a program like Invasion. I agree with what most of you have said, however, Invasion had a limited lifespan; what made the show brilliant was that it was able to keep moving with both suspense and drama. There is little left to explain, yes, granted there are things left un-answered, but continuing the show creates the danger of a show like 'Alien Nation' - most of the story line is going to be about some kind of merging of societies with resistance on both sides(I guess), and that would make the program boring in my opinion - This is not the sort of program that should run indefinitely like Eastenders in the UK or any other soap - X-Files ran on far too long and lost its appeal long before it was over ruining potentially one of the best shows which I now consider to be rubbish. Well done ABC for ending it, however, are you stupid? - If you were going to axe it, at least end it on a better conclusion; 2 or 3 more episodes would have been fine, or remove the last episode completely and have a more complete conclusion at the end of the hurricane. The best suggestion I saw above was a final film just to put the series to sleep.
