Full Power

The Guardian is reporting that BBC2 has greenlighted a new comedy SF show called Full Power (use BugMeNot to get past the registration).

Whilst the article mentions Red Dwarf and says enough things to make my heart sink (eg. Full Power is set in 2182, when Britain has launched a fleet of spaceships to explore the galaxy "in the only way they can - with a stiff upper lip and regular tea breaks") there is some hope, because the writers responsible are Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley who also wrote the incredibly funny (and bizzarre) Black Books', although they need great comedy actors as well.

It's due to be broadcast on BBC2 next year.
